Coach Ignacio “Nacho” Menendez
Coach Ignacio "Nacho" Menendez brings international playing experience and a player-first coaching philosophy to Space City Hoops. A native of Madrid, Spain, Nacho developed his game in one of Europe’s most competitive basketball environments before continuing his career in the United States. He played college basketball at St. Andrews University (NAIA) and later competed professionally in Spain.
Following his playing career, Nacho transitioned into coaching at the collegiate NAIA level, where he helped develop student-athletes both on and off the court. His coaching emphasizes skill development, basketball IQ, decision-making, and creating a competitive environment that prepares players for success at the next level.
